You keep your business premises locked when nobody is there, just as you do with your home. You have security measures in place to discourage theft of your business assets. You probably even have someone come in and check that it’s all working and doing what it’s meant to. Spend the money to get a respected Anti-virus suite installed on all your computers and make sure it is kept up to date with the latest virus signatures. Educate the computer users in your workplace about IT security. If employees transfer files between home and work, especially on removable media like USB keys, make sure they have good security on their home computers. If they need to work from home a lot then it may be worth while supplying the software to them. License options are available for multi user environments.
